Episode 135 of Step to the Music traffics in techno and club sounds that I’d venture to call industrial, even gothic (certainly goth, with maybe a dab of post-punk). Heavy machinic beats, brooding atmosphere, a few blasphemous lyrics… cathartic ecstatic union with the seasonally affecting. Winter is coming, things are getting chilly and dark… so chill with the darkness and groove on some eleventh month beats– the only way out is through.
