Episode 166: Back With A Banger

Some things happened with this episode that I hesitate even to mention… possibly why it took so long to get an episode that aired on February 5th into the archives! But first the actual substance of the episode…

In substance, this is a slowed down 140 BPM ep, which means, as one would expect, plenty of grime and plenty of d******. These are things you will find. However, things start off with post-Curve band Inkraktare being electro-shoegaze-y. There’s also quite a bit of Hard Drum and weird-club, before things settle down with some dance pop courtesy of Kitsune and FKA Twigs finishes things off in her inimitable way.

I recorded this episode and aired it without realizing that the file got corrupted, causing a lot of glitching about 3/4 of the way through. The file was just… there was no way of fixing it. So I did something I’d never done before– I went back and re-recorded the episode. This is the fixed version, as opposed to the version that aired. Part of me wants not to admit that, but there it is. This archive is a lie, but a lie that is superior to what a true historical document would be. Hate me or love me for this, it is already done.

As a fun post-script, you may notice that there was still a technical glitch in the “fixed” version, as the usual intro/outro announcements are glitched all to heck. I chose NOT to go back again to fix that. Let it be my penance…
