Episode 156: Establish Yrself in My Body

“But all my friends, they cry about being lonely…”

This episode starts off with JETS in full IDM mode, sounding a bit like a cross between AFX and Mouse On Mars. From there, things get syncopated and energetic. Hard Drum, Hop Hop, house and club manifestations, a bit of mnml techno, some Jersey Club, even a hint of UK Funky. Volor Flex does their usual Burial-worship thing, featuring an eraworm bassline that would take a phaser set on kill to remove. It all winds down with another earworm, Hatchie’s dreampop anthem to unrequited monomania.

[(Maybe Not So) Fun Fact: This is the second version of this mix. The first one went a few minutes over with a final song not on this version (but without the Jayhood track)… but that’s not why I trashed it. Nope, something glitched with the .wav file that I couldn’t figure out how to fix, so I went back and redid it with a slight playlist tweak]
