This Week: More Footwork and Sundry 160BPM Fellow Steppers

Tomorrow night, Wednesday night, July 31st, tune in to Radio NOPE at 11E/8P for another new episode of SttM, this one featuring more 160 madness.

I’ve heard it said that Footwork is music for dancing, and dancing of a specific type, and so if you don’t dance Footwork, you can’t truly understand Footwork music. The DJ’s and producers also dance Footwork, because if they don’t, they can’t really do it right.

Therefore, this northside white boy with middle-aged knees is probably doomed to eff it up for all time… like for example mixing it up with 160BPM music from other genres: Jungle, D’n’B, and the gradients that lie between. It all sounds good to me, but can you dance to it? The world may never know…
