Episode 213: Move to Groove

This episode was me trying to bring more variety into my ~160 BPM mixes, but what surprises me almost a year later (how long I was stuck trying to find anything interesting to say about this mix) is how horny it is. I LIKE TRAINS start things off with their customary louche sinister vibe, Sully brings the Jungle breaks, and then Teep go straight for the filth. Things get more frantic until Shygirl comes along to drop the proceedings into half time and offer some more filth. Things take a turn for oldschool jungle, providing a mellow post-climactic afterglow that slowly builds, including left turns into club and house territory, to a second, remix and mashup filled climax. The Deathray Davies close things out, their “Oh Stars” possibly a scandalized reaction to the orgy that preceded them.
